IHL umpires round one

The new IHL starts on 18th October.

There are some unique playing rules for the IHL. A player may take a free to them self. All players must be five yards away for all frees.

 

 

Duration of matches: Matches will be played in two halves of 35 minutes with a time-out of 2.5 minutes in each half – at 17.5 and 52.5 minutes. Half time is seven and a half minutes – teams will change ends at half time only.

 

 

Suspension on a card: Automatic two minute suspension or a green card with a yellow card carrying a five minute minimum suspension.

 

 

Points allocation for the IHL:
o 3 points for a win
o 2 points for a draw
o 1 point for a win by more than 2 goals
o 1 point for a lose of less than 2 goals

 

 

The disciplinary rules of all IHA competitions will apply to the IHL.

 

 

• Red Card: minimum one match suspension

 

 

• Accumulation of three yellow cards: one match suspension

 

 

• The IHA Disciplinary Committee shall review all card reports and may increase a suspension.

 

 

• Match suspensions will typically be served in the next IHL competition match, or failing that the next IHA competition match or failing that transferred to the next branch competition match or the following season.
