Ladies Weekend Preview 10th/11th December 2011
Saturday 10/12/11
The 2nds take on Loreto in Beaufort at 16.00. Loreto are currently at the bottom of the division 4 table with 4 points from 4 draws. Top taking on bottom, the 2nds should be approaching this game with the view of cementing their position in the league. After the bitter result last weekend in the Irish junior cup, the girls will be looking to start the game will all guns blazing from the whistle to avoid a déjá vu feeling.
The 3rds take on Alex 5ths in the divison 9/10 cup in Miltown at 13.30 . Alex 5ths compete in divison 9 and are in 2nd position. With the 3rds topping the division 10 table, and aiming for promotion this will be a challenge, and no doubt serve as a taster of what could be in store for the team next season. The 3rds forwards and midfield have no problem finding the net, with a goal difference of plus 20.
Sunday 11/12/11
The 1sts take on Corinthians on Sunday in Whitechurch at 13.30. Corinthians are currently in 8th position in the league 1 point behind the Glens. In the first game of the season the Glens came out on top winning 2-1 in Whitechurch. The girls have come a long way since then, starting to gel well and create chances upfront. After last weekends dissappointing league result but promising play against UCD, the girls will be out to go on the Chirstmas break with a bang and hopefully securing a place in the next round of the Jacqui Potter Cup.
