Ladies Weekend Preview November 5th/6th
Tha ladies 1sts are out this weekend agains Trinity in Old Alex’s pitch at 16.00. Only one point separates the two sides in the table at present. Trinity have however only play two games so far in the league, they beat Pembroke 1-0 and lost to UCD 3-0. Trinity were competing in the intervarsities competition in Galway last weekend. The won the Chilean plate final, beating NUIG 1-0. In the 2010/11 season Trinity finished one place above the Glens in the table, both clashes last season were hard fought and close encounters, the Glens unlucky to loose out on points on both ocassion loosing 2-0 and 2-1. After a weekend off the Glens will have taken this time to reflect on recent results and will no doubt have been working on ways to improve there performance and be aiming to come out of the weekend with three points.
The Ladies 2nds have no match this weekend.
The 3rds are out against Loreto at 14.45 in Beaufort. The thirds will be looking to build on their recent success, currently in second position in the league, goal difference keeping them from first position. Loreto are currently in forth position with seven points. Loreto gained promiton to division 10 last season by winning division 11 with 43 points (13wins, 4draws, 1loss). Loreto have continued this form since joining the division. they are currently in fourth position with 7 points. The Glens will be looking to continue their form and take three points from the visit to Loreto’s home turf.
