Ladies weekend preview October 22nd/23rd
Ladies 1st XI are playing at home at 15.00 this week against Hermes. Hermes have had a less than perfect start to the league. Loosing to Loreto, beating Pembroke and drawing with Corinthians. Hermes may have however found their feet last weekend in the IHL against Old Alex, beating them 3-0. The Glens should be disappionted with only coming out with a single point from a hard fought clash with Three Rock last weekend. In recent clashes with Hermes the Glens have fought hard, last October the girls could have taken at least a point from Hermes, but ended up loosing 3-2. In march it was much the same story, the only thing separating the sides was hermes ability to convert their chances, the Glens loosing out 3-0. This game is likely to be exciting with the firsts in need of getting a few more points in the league at this early stage.
The Ladies 2nds have a double weekend ahead of them, playing away to Alex on Saturday 16.30 in the league and out in Sutton against Suttonians at 15.30 on Sunday in the Division 3/4 cup. Alex have won one, lost one and drawn one so far in the league, sitting 2 points ahead of the glens in the table. Suttonians are leading division four with six points from two wins and a loss. The 2nds will be looking to improve on their promising performances and get there first three pointer in the league.
The Ladies 3rds have an early start in Glenanne Park, the game tipping off at 10.00 against Hermes. The thirds are in second position in the league, loosing out on first through goal difference. The thirds are out to make up for their draw last weekend, and will fight tooth and nail to get another three points on the board. Hermes are in fourth position with 3 points from two games ( 1 win & 1 Loss)
