Match Report: vs Weston
With the league wrapped up, the Mens Firsts used their last game of the season against bottom side Weston to blood some new players with Cillian O’Neill, Brian O’Malley and Sam O’Connor making their debuts.
Poor execution and miss placed passes had it 1-0 to Glenanne at half time, Shane O’Donoghue dragging home.
A step up in tempo after the break saw Glennane convert 6 of their chances, O’Donoghue grabbing his second to take him to 22 League Goals for the season.
Stephen Brownlow added two from play; one an excellent powered finish before Brendan Parsons waltzed through the defence to double his tally for the year.
Richie Shaw finished a lovely team move and Cillian O’Neill completed the scoring getting a debut goal, firing home from close range.
A big thank you to Weston for providing a lovely spread after the game in the Lord Lucan.
Next up for the Mens Firsts is the EHL KO 16 game versus HGC in Amsterdam
