Match Report: vs Three Rock Rovers
The Mens Firsts went 4 points clear at the top of Division 1 after coming from behind to beat Three Rock Rovers in Grange Road.
TRR took the lead after 15 minutes, Gavin Bourke collecting a rebound and firing into the empty goal after a strong run down the right.
Glenanne were level when they converted their only short corner of the match, Eddie O’Malley reversing home from a third phase rebound.
TRR went in 2-1 up at half time, Ali Haughton scoring the goal of the game, driving through the inside left channel and roofing his open side shot.
Glenanne upped the ante in the second half and Shane O’Donoghue leveled things, collecting a sublime Graham Shaw pass and shooting high by the TRR keeper.
With 10 minutes to go Glenanne finally converted one of their 6 second half corners, Gary Shaw working his way by two defenders before rounding the keeper and flicking home.
There was still time for a TRR to win a corner which Stephen Doran saved brilliantly, diving low and right to deflect a drag flick wide.
