Match Report – vs Railway Union (Mills Cup)
Glennane reached the semi finals of the Mills Cup with a routine 5-1 win over Railway Union in Glennane Park.
After scoreless first half, Brendan Parsons got his first of the season, slapping home after great work around the back from Richie Shaw.
And Richie Shaw doubled the lead after he burst into the circle and reversed under the keeper.
Gary Shaw got the third, the goal of the day, faking a shot from the top of the D and then lobbing the advancing keeper.
Mick McGuinness claims the 4th, an own goal, deflecting Graham Shaw’s ball off a defenders stick and into the goal.
John Kane rounded off the scoring for Glenanne with a close range effort, his 2nd in 2 games
Railway tacked on a consolation in the dying minutes, Rob Abbott capitalizing on a defensive slip.
Glenanne play Corinthian in the Semi Finals on the 20/02/11.
