Ladies Indoor Report: vs Trinity
Brimming with confidence from the earlier match up, the glens favoured themselves to achieve what was required of them to progress to the semi finals, only requiring a draw to go through. The game lacked much of the spark that had been readily on show at 9am against Railway. It was apparent from early on it would be won by the team who could break the others defences. With a fairly equal first half that ended without a score from either team, it has to be said that the Glenanne ladies totally dominated the 2nd half with several short corners, many of which were plucked off the trinity line by some great defending. The lack of variety in the routine being the downfall, the glens just could not score. However the ladies would have been content with a draw, only to be thwarted by what can be described as selective vision, which saw both umpires miss a blatant raised ball over a glens defenders stick which led to the only goal of the game falling trinity`s way. A very hard way to exit the competition but with such determination and potential shown, the glens can look forward to Indoor next year when they will come out stronger than ever.
