Ladies Baking Competition – The Results
THANK YOU, THANK YOU
To those of you who baked and put in such work.
We decided to have 3 little prizes per team so the results are as follows;
1X1 Team
1st prize – Louise Kennedy – what a cake !, it was too good to eat, the detail was fantastic, I want a lesson on icing, you should see my attempts for the school cake sale!!
2nd prize – Jennifer Rynne – this was my children’s favourite, I think my 3, along with Ally Boucher definitely ate the hockey stick and ball! Once again your hockey theme was brilliant. Where did you get purple icing?
3rd prize – Paula Fitzpatrick – all I can say is that these cookies were a “sugar rush”
2X1 Team
I have to say we had a limited field here due to a late withdrawal because of technical problems, so important to get the timing right when rolling a Roulade! Anyway the winners were;
1st prize – Paula Davis – original fairy cakes but the winning element was the green & white icing!!!
2nd prize – Catherine – banana & apple fairy cakes, along with chocolate chip cookies, I didn’t ice, shucks I would have won!!
Could-Do-Better-award – Elsa Stewart – we waited and waited for the Banoffi pie, without the banana! And we got an apple pie – home-baked-NOT!
3X1 Team
They got the points on Saturday and definitely got points for their baking, two ladies in particular, their cakes were well worth waiting for.
1st prize – Sinead Aherne – Her carrot cakes and Lemon cakes were fantastic, beautifully presented, the sparkling icing/toppings did it.
2nd prize – Nicola Maher – The Roulade was yummy and the blueberry muffins were gorgeous.
Okay ladies we are entering the home stretch of the season so let’s all pull together and help/support one another.
February Manager of the Month – a draw – Barbara, Nuala & Deirdre
