Ladies 3rd V Bray

Bray away are always tough opponents even more so when the Friday before the game you only have 9 players!! But somehow 12 of us made it out there, missing our tremendous sweeper Nuala, but with a bonus of Emma Healy in goals. The game got started and for once the thirds started well! Usually it takes us a while to get going! Niamh Mc made some great moves down the left wing with Roisin helping her along. It was all Glenanne in the first half with Lynda doing some real hassling up front. The Bray keeper did well to get out all the goal attempts, but Niamh Mc and her fancy stick work finally managed to get one by her. Half time score 1-0 to the Glens. Bray must have gotten a good half time talk as they came out all guns blazing, this however didn’t stop the Glens who ,although had taken the foot off the gas, still had some great attacks and the list of ‘nearlys’ grew. Bray however, were not without there own chances, and keeper Emma had to do some work, making some terrific saves to keep the score at 1-0 to Glenanne. A well deserved 3 points. A big thank you has to go to Eimear, Roisin, Emma, Aisling, Hannah and our wonderful manager Dee who rushed across the city to be there for us. Thanks every one it is much appreciated.
