GLENANNE LADIES DAY – 26TH FEBRUARY
1.00pm – 1×1 vs. Trinity
2.30pm – 2×1 vs. Railway
4.00pm – 3×1 vs. Our Ladys
Okay so we all took some hard knocks on Saturday, results wise, but we in Glenanne are known for our strength/resilience. We get knocked down, we pick ourselves up and go again, that is what we are going to do this coming Saturday. We are going to pull together, help one another out and support one another. SO COME ON, LETS DO IT!
2nds– Weston knocked us hard in January, we picked ourselves up and got 4 from 6 points in the league after this, we can do the same after Swords, believe in yourselves
1sts – you took points off Corinthians and Pembroke, you can do the same to Trinity, be strong.
3rds – Our Ladys again, you came very close in the cup, we need the same on Saturday and that little bit more to get you over the line.
That’s all I have to say on the hockey, now for the post hockey activities, 26th February is ladies day and night!
We need to support one another so pack the lunch, the kettle will be on for a cuppa and we are having a..
BAKING COMPETITION
Yes, the last one was a baking challenge and now that I see how good you are, we are having a competition! There will be small prizes in accordance with our amateur status! The High School girls put up a good show last time but Beck’s cheesecake was a favourite with one of the judges, while Aoife’s mars/rice krispie squares were a favourite with my kids! Anyway the judges will decide, they are the Team Managers and yours truly. As Nuala Shaw is away next Saturday, Niamh Ward has been co-opted to the panel, okay Niamh you were volunteered in true Glenanne fashion. Elsa, don’t forget your cake, Banoffi pie, without the banana I believe!
THE MORGUE
To finish things off we are retiring to The Morgue for some liquid refreshments, please do try to make the evening, even just drop in for an hour or so to have a chat or you are welcome to stay the night! It’s been a while since we had a ladies night so please mark it in your social diaries.
