Glenanne Ladies 1XI VS Railway 1XI

After a disappointing day previous, the Glens had a big task ahead playing an under strength Railway outfit. After a very positive start, the Glens spent the early stages of this match in the oppositions half. Railways pace in the midfiled and upfront turned the game around after the first 15minutes. They scored 4 goals in the first half with some good attacking play, although good preformances from the ever present Mary Waldron and Jennifer Rynne prevented it from being an even bigger deficit.

The Glens never found their stride in this game and the second half saw an improved performance however the goalline was never in threat with not a single short corner being earned throughout the game. The Glens managed to subdue the Railway attack somewhat in the second half with a stand out performance from Audrey McCormack who worked tirelessly in the midfield. Susan Byrne martialling the Glenanne goal was superb in the second half with some spine tingling saves which kept railways goal tally to just one.
The game ended at 5-0 with man of the match going to Audrey McCormack.
