Glenanne 4 – 0 Weston
Glenanne had a comfortable 4-0 win over bottom club Weston in Glennane Park last night.
Eddie O’Malley got them off the mark after 10 minutes, deflecting by the goalkeeper after good work down the left from Gary Shaw.
The second arrived soon after through Stephen Brownlow, O’Malley helping on a Mick McGuinness pass to Brownlow at the back post and he applied the easy finish.
O’Malley doubled his tally just before half time; a long ball by David Shaw was dummied by David Kehoe and O’Malley slid the ball under the keeper from a tight angle.
The second half saw Glenanne dominant again but they could not turn chances into goals, the only strike coming from a Mick McGuinness drag flick.
A double weekend for the Mens Firsts this weekend with them facing Annadale in the Irish Senior Cup on Saturday and Railway Union in the Leinster Senior Cup on Sunday, both games are in Glenanne Park.
