Glenanne 2nds V’s Weston 1sts

On a glacial afternoon, Glenannes’ 2nds courageously braved the elements and took on a fit and determined Weston team. The first 10 minutes were to decide which way the game would go. Weston scored two goals early on and one more before half time. With a large amount of possession Glens, made some fine runs, passes and attacks, but luck and accuracy were not there and the goals didn’t come. The second half saw Weston coming back with another goal and then finally, a nice run down the left led Becks to give a fantastic cross into Lauren Power who scored a super goal. Weston answered back with yet another goal which brought the score to 5-1. The bleak result was in no way representative of the possession and hard work that was shown on the pitch by Glens and the girls will be looking to change their fortune this coming Saturday in Belfast.
